Whale World Albany 2 November 2011

Whale World is an old Whaling Station that has been preserved for tourists to visit.
This is the Flensing Deck where the whales blubber was cut off into strips.
The pictures and audio recounts are quite vivid and confronting.

A skeleton of a Pygmy Blue Whale brought to the Whaling Station.
Usually they process every bit of the whale including the head and bones to manufacture whale oil.

Chloe and Andrew with a piece of Baleen Plate.

We boarded the last Australian whaling vessel to operate in our waters the  "Cheynes IV".

This Giant Squid came out of a Blue Whale. 'Sick!'
