Cape Leeuwin 29 October 2011

Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse.....the tallest operational lighthouse in Australia.

Chloe and Andrew climbing some of the 176 steps up to the top of the lighthouse.

The oceans collide!
Looking south there is a reef where you can see the Southern and Indian Ocean meet. Apparently each ocean is travelling up to 5 knotts towards each other so there is a constant crashing of waves.

Chloe and Ian enjoying the view at the top.

Andrew and Chloe near the lens and light.

These lenses are no longer made...the last one auctioned off went for 11 million dollars!

The old water wheel (built 1895) provided water from a spring for the lighthouse keepers.

Our last sunset over the Indian Ocean.
