Karijini National Park - 6,7 Sept 2011

We couldn't believe the change of weather after leaving Broome. Very strong easterly winds were relentless and freezing! They were like the east coast westerly winds in August.
Hence, despite the beautiful views the grimace on the faces and big cuddles in the first photo.

Looking down Knox Gorge

Our favourite... Fortescue Falls

Andrew after the walk to Circular Pool, Dale's Gorge

The walks/climbs were interesting and varied. They rate the walks 1 to 6 according to the WA scale.
1 is easy 3 moderate 4 is difficult and 6 needs abseiling gear.

Climbing up the level 4 'track' from Knox Gorge.

Weano George level 3 walk until we reached Handrail Pool

Weano George level 3walk.... still. Didn't realise we would have to get our feet wet after this part of the walk.

Ian and Andrew at the bottom of handrail pool.

The walks were often very challenging but the scenery at the end was stunning and well worth the effort.
